How to Prepare for Your California Closets Installation

After the plans for your new space are final and the installation appointment is on the calendar, it’s time to get your space ready for its makeover.
To ensure that the installation process goes as smoothly as possible, please follow the instructions below before our installation technicians arrive at your home.
1. Remove all personal items
Before work can begin, the installation area needs to be clear of all personal items so that our team can efficiently build in your new closet storage solution. If you have any items for donation, particularly women’s clothing, check with your design consultant to see if your local California Closets participates in a local partnership with Dress for Success®. If they do, simply drop off your items for donation at your local California Closets.
2. Clear the work area
For safety reasons, we request that you keep children and pets out of the work area during the installation.
3. Designate an entrance close to the driveway
Please allow our installation technicians to enter your home through the entrance that is nearest the driveway so they can easily unload their materials and tools.
After your system has been installed, the technician will demonstrate the features of your new California Closets products, if you’re available. He or she will also review any key warranty and care information with you.
Soon after your installation, you will be contacted by an outside survey company to request candid feedback about your overall California Closets experience. Your comments are valuable to us so that we can continue to provide the best possible products and service to you and our future customers.
