Before making my decision to go with California Closets, I made the effort to research other closet design firms in an attempt to select top quality products, customer service and expertise along with competitive pricing. I found that while other companies may offer prices that are slightly lower, you ultimately get what you pay for, in both product quality, design capability and installation. For the moderate increase in price, California Closets offers a free consultation and design from top notch experts in the field (Ms. Shellie Topper being one), higher quality wood and/or laminate products, a much larger selection of colors than competitors, multiple possibilities for location (closets, offices, garages, kitchens, etc), an array of lines/product models to choose from (standard, signature, etc) and installation; whereas other companies follow a “do it yourself” protocol in all of these areas, and surprisingly this includes installation. Evidently my experience with California Closets was extremely positive, however please allow me to share with you a few of the reasons why. In addition to all of the information mentioned above, I was very impressed with the design capabilities of both Ms. Topper’s expertise, which undoubtedly is aided by her experience and intuition, as well as the design software California Closets has evidently invested in. The consultation was painless, a small amount of time dedicated to measurements and the remainder to needs, wants and desires. Within a few days, I had an email with a perfect 3-dimensional picture of what my closet would look like as well as an estimate. A large part of why I claim to be so impressed with the design skills is because I would classify myself as a picky and detail oriented client. I must’ve written Ms. Topper ten emails requesting minor changes on colors, models, moving items around, etc and within 24 hours, I had once again received an email containing a detailed 3-D drawing with all of the suggested changes, and they’re respective price quotes. The turn around time on designs was nothing short of impressive. Additionally, Ms. Topper always made herself available for consultation regarding design details and options, one of the many examples being which of the laminate colors matched best with the flooring and wall color. To say that both California Closets as a company and Ms. Topper as a design consultant and representative, are customer driven is an understatement; I found that client satisfaction ranked among the highest of concerns. They are price conscious and considerate, always making the effort to offer reasonable and affordable options, while making their best attempt at meeting your needs, space requirements and design aesthetics.
