What They Wanted
In between their jet-setting travels to source inspiration, the dynamic duo behind North Carolina-and New York-based interior design firm Madcap Cottage Madcap Cottage transformed their historic Regency-style home in High Point, North Carolina. No easy feat, the dramatic restoration, as featured in Traditional Home, revealed the designers’ flair for the punches of color, pattern and global accents that give their traditional style a twist. No room was overlooked, including the laundry room, where Jason and John worked with California Closets design consultant Amanda Welch to create a more inviting workspace.
How we did it
Taking style and function into account, Amanda designed a wall cabinet for the couple's collections of tabletop and serving pieces, as well as a seamlessly-constructed system around the washer/dryer to conceal unsightly wires and provide additional cabinet space for cleaning supplies and tools.
final result
The Madcap Cottage gents are so impressed by California Closets' capabilities, they are now a go-to source for great storage options everywhere in the home.
The custom design is simple, yet smart. Now Jason and John can better appreciate their laundry room as an extension of their lovely home.
