A Dazzling Albany Closet Transformation
What She Wanted
Deborah Simeone came to California Closets Albany with dreams of a beautiful new master closet. She was already renovating her master bathroom that was attached to the closet. Working with design consultant Michelle Mangini, Deborah hoped to simultaneously renovate the closet to achieve the boutique-like space she always wanted.
I finally have a place for everything! The closet is so bright and full of gorgeous details.
How we did it
Over a period of several months, they met several times to perfect the design and decide on custom features that would improve the closet’s form and function. Michelle's new design included designated space for Deborah’s casual shoes, as well as glass-door-enclosed display storage for dress shoes, a jewelry cabinet, and display storage for Deborah’s sunglasses collection. Throughout the space, Michelle applied lighting to illuminate Deborah’s custom display cases, while shimmering hardware tied the look and feel of the stylish closet together.
Michelle came to Deborah’s home to view the space and discuss her vision in detail. The project posed several design challenges, including an electrical panel, washer/dryer, and a water heater that all needed to be relocated from the closet.
Michelle really listened to all my requests and in the end I could not be more pleased by how it turned out.
Bright, well-organized and glamorous, the new closet design gives Deborah a much more inspired "shopping" experience.
