A North Carolina
Fit For A Gentleman
What He Wanted
While in the process of renovating his master bath, Davis Ligon decided to extend the work to include a walk-in closet. Since space was limited, he wanted to update the room to feel open and modern, and collaborated with California Closets Charlotte design consultant Whitney Hahn to create a sleek masculine closet from floor to ceiling.
How we did it
Whitney worked with Davis hand-in-hand. In order to provide more room, they decided to remove the bulky shelving unit that jutted into the middle of the room and took up unnecessary space. Deciding on an open floor plan, they installed storage on each side of the closet. To finish the masculine masterpiece, they used high gloss flat drawer faces for a modern touch.
Adding the doors up above gave the closet a clean, crisp look when you walked into the space and
provided an area to keep luggage and other items out of sight.
I'm loving my closet and everyone who has seen it has been blown away.
I couldn't be happier with the way it all turned out!
The final design maximizes space without sacrificing style. Sleek high gloss finishes and plenty of storage complete the masculine aesthetic without feeling too dark and overwhelming.
