What She Wanted
Lindsay and her twin sister Whitney chronicle their shopping tips and style tricks on their blog The Double Take Girls.
Looking for a multipurpose space, Lindsay turned to Jerrie Miller of California Closets Oklahoma City in search of a custom closet design that would double as her new home office. The design needed to provide optimized storage, but also have an “insta-worthy” appeal for photo and video shoots.
I knew that creating a functional work space that included well-organized and appealing storage would be a must. This is when I knew that California Closets would be the perfect answer to my storage dilemma!
How we did it
Taking everything on Lindsay’s wish list into account, Jerrie took measurements of the space to create several budget-conscious designs that Lindsay could try on for size.
The biggest challenge was maximizing the one wall to accommodate all of the clothing and accessories in Lindsay’s large wardrobe. Heavy, dark brown built-ins were removed to make way for a bright and airy transformed space featuring crisp white finishes, acrylic drawers, and custom lighting.

Lindsay has a great eye for design, and we loved helping her vision come to life. Working on projects like this is a reminder why I started designing custom closet spaces nearly 20 years ago.
The final design - with its white cabinetry, acrylic accents, and gold hardware - provides the perfect jewel box to house Lindsay’s colorful collection of garments and fashion accessories. It’s a perfect backdrop for endless wardrobe changes and photo shoots.
