For Aly Morford, co-founder of Pure Salt Interiors, a modern yet earthy aesthetic isn’t just a business approach, it’s a lifestyle. So when she needed to redesign her home office, she turned to California Closets.
Bathed in light and natural elements, her beachy southern California home needed a functional workspace that could also keep her extensive gift wrap collection organized – and accessible.
What makes this simple home office design so functional is what’s inside.
How California Closets did it
Aly collaborated with design consultant Heather Records of California Closets Orange County on a dual-purpose office/craft space that would be practical while blending with her signature style.
Small compartments, a pull-out printer shelf, and vertical uprights for gift bags make this space as stylish as it is useful.
Clear trays add visibility, keeping the room bright and airy, while rich gold-toned pulls – sourced by Aly herself – add a touch of vintage glamour.

Aly was very fun and easy to work with. She trusted my expertise all while having a clear idea of what she envisioned for the space.
Aly’s personal touches in and around the system, monochromatic and clean, evoke the same sense of serenity seen throughout her home. The final result is a timeless blend of design and function.
