Our Team

The team at the Las Vegas franchise of California Closets is dedicated to delivering a customer experience second to none. Our expertise extends far beyond closets. Our shop is on-site and capable of fabricating cabinets for any area of the home: offices, media centers, murphy beds, garage cabinets, wine rooms and more.

Nominee for 2013 and 2007 Franchise of the Year, Recognized for Outstanding Growth for 2013, Winner of 2010 Customer Satisfaction Award, Winner of the 2007 Credo Award and the 2006 Most Improved Franchise Award, we're proud of our dedicated team of installers, shop workers, design consultants and office staff. Without their commitment to you, our customer, we'd be just another closet company.

Come see why we're different. Our showrooms display unique concepts that are the envy of everyone in our industry.

Why? Experience, know-how, determination, and feedback from our customers. Experience - let's start with owner Larry Huegel. He's been in the custom woodworking business in Las Vegas since he was a teenager. Know-how - all staff members receiving continuous education in every aspect of product, design and service. Determination - the endless pursuit of customer satisfaction. Feedback - we welcome it and use it to adapt to the ever changing environment.

"We believe that the buyer has the answers and we need only ask the right questions to provide the perfect solution," says owner Megan Huegel. "We look forward to the opportunity to serve you."

I have been involved with the National Kitchen Bath Association since attending an NKBA endorsed college program 17 years ago. Since graduation I have worked in many different divisions of residential and commercial construction. I have worked with semi-custom and custom cabinetry lines, managed and coordinated residential remodels/additions, and coordinated construction efforts on large scale commercial projects as well as all professional designers involved. My career experience is very diverse and I have always found myself mentoring and training others in my field.

Some years ago, I was a fashion designer and I made custom clothing, but after doing that for 10 years, I wanted another challenge. Interior Design seemed like a natural progression and a way to use my creativity and design skills in another way. I decided to go back to school and graduated from the Art Institute of Las Vegas, receiving my bachelor's degree in Interior Design. It was the best career decision I could have made! I love that I can come into a client's home and help them transform a room making it not only beautiful, but functional too!

Maria Munoz, Design consultant

As a young adult I discovered a passion in design. Not knowing what direction to pursue, I began as a Floral Designer. As time passed, my experience as a Floral Designer inspired me to further my design abilities. In 2008 I enrolled myself to The Art Institute of Las Vegas and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design.  With my new found knowledge in design, I’m able to achieve design solutions to clients. I enjoy meeting clients in their home and providing design solutions to their spaces, from the smallest closet organization to a unique media center.

People & Design….those are what make this career at California Closets a “Perfect Fit” for me. They are the two things in life that motivate me most. Having grown up in the restaurant business, I learned early on from my Father how important people are & what a wonderful feeling it is to know that you have helped them & made them happy. My Mother taught me from day one about art & design. I helped her pick out patterns & material for clothing, tile for the kitchen & created various art projects with her.

Andrea Knox, Design Consultant

Having received my Bachelor’s degree from UNLV’s Interior Architecture and Design program, designing with California Closets was a natural progression for me.  As a design consultant, I not only make use of my skillset, but also add to it.  I have a strong passion for creating functional yet engaging spaces, building valuable relationships with clients, as well as problem solving especially when the result is bettering the life of another.

Tamera Allen, Design Consultant

As a child I have always loved design. Some of my earliest memories were rearranging rooms, making art, hand sewing curtains & pillows.

Eleina Espiritu, Design Consultant

I love meeting my clients and knowing that every day is a different challenge as no two spaces are alike. Being able to talk with clients to learn about their specific needs allows me to customize a space that is unique to their home and lifestyle. I strive to find the most efficient and targeted solution possible, focusing on what is both practical and appropriate given the space and the client’s needs. The California Closets Experience, in my mind, is always about the customer.
