Organize This! Makeover

Our 3rd Place “Organize This” Contest Winner: Andrew and Julie Shaver, Toronto, Canada

Andrew and Julie won a closet makeover valued at $5,000. Design consultant Alexis Fraser helped them turn an awkward, dysfunctional master bedroom closet into a beautifully organized system with elegant Italian glass doors.

The Shavers’ story:

Andrew and Julie were stuck with a new master bedroom closet that was large, but not functional. The three mirrored-panel doors had to be removed because they were “inconvenient and awkward”.

“The closet is impossible to deal with and makes it extremely difficult for us to relax in our own bedroom,” they said.

The couple knew that they needed California Closets. They had loved their “amazing” California Closets office and storage unit in their previous home.

But household expenses at their new house ate up their budget - and then Andrew lost his job. We knew we had to help!

The California Closets solution:

Design consultant Alexis Fraser recognized that the Shavers needed a system that would make their lives easier – no more digging through piles on the floor or pushing aside crammed-in clothes hangers.

Plus, the closet design had to fit in perfectly with the bedroom décor.

Alexis transformed an eyesore into a beautiful closet with Chocolate Peartree finishes and white Italian glass doors, plenty of drawers and shelving, a pull-out laundry hamper with two bags, and a valet rod.

Now the Shavers can easily organize and access their belongings in a closet system that adds to the beauty and tranquility of their bedroom.
