After joining California Closets in 2006 as Senior Vice President, Bill became the President and CEO in 2009.

After joining California Closets in 2006 as Senior Vice President, Bill became the President and CEO in 2009. Since then, he’s led the expansion of our product lines to bring high-end Italian-made offerings to our clients, doubled the number of retail showrooms throughout North America so we can serve more communities, and launched computer-simulated design tools that allow customers to see virtual renditions of their reimagined spaces. A successful executive and entrepreneur for more than 25 years, Bill has a range of industry experience that includes information technology, financial services, travel, health care, shipping, legal, distribution, real estate, e-commerce, and business process outsourcing. In 2012, he was recognized as a Wood Industry Market Leader by Woodworking Network magazine. Bill holds a Presidential/Key Executive MBA from Pepperdine University and completed continuing education programs at Harvard Business School and Stanford Business School.

Eric joined California Closets in 2014 as the President of Retail Division

Eric joined California Closets in 2014 as the President of Retail Division, a role through which he develops our direct-to-consumer business and oversees all company-owned locations, product management, business development, and partnerships. A motivating leader with an entrepreneurial spirit, Eric has cultivated natural leadership skills during his career, which includes a 13-year-plus tenure as President and CEO of The Stow Company, an industry leader in organizational products. He has also held management positions with Deloitte, Herman Miller, and Steelcase and is a member of the Young Presidents Organization.

Jonathan Louie has been part of California Closets since January 2010, following 20 years of experience fulfilling various roles—including controller, group controller, and VP of Finance—with Actuant Corporation, Key Components, and Valley Forge Corporation. Over the course of his career, he managed various consumer and industrial divisions including Marinco, Ancor, Advance Devices, Guest, BEP Marine, and BH Electronics. He began his career in public accounting with Ernst and Young after graduating from the University of California at Berkeley.

After 18 years building home, lifestyle, and fashion brands, Sam joined California Closets as CMO to oversee creative, sales, content development, customer marketing, and training as well as traditional marketing tactics. She is dedicated to creating an exceptional experience for each customer at every interaction—online, in-home, and in the California Closets showrooms. Sam has deep experience inside industry-leading companies, most recently as the Senior Vice President of Marketing at Serena & Lily. She holds an MBA from University of California at Berkeley and a Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College.

Joe serves as our Vice President, having joined the team in September 2015

Joe serves as our Vice President, having joined the team in September 2015. Before California Closets, he was President/COO and co-owner of TSS Photography, a franchise network in the youth sports, school, and event photography industry. In 2008, he co-launched a second franchise concept called Young Masters, and then sold TSS Photography and Young Masters in 2014. In addition to his domestic experience, Joe has opened master franchises in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. He also spent six years in the United States Marine Corps—he’s a veteran of Desert Storm—and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Economics from Oneonta State University.

After spending 18 years in the office furniture industry, Cheryl joined California Closets as the Director of Product Management, a role in which she’s responsible for ensuring that our products meet our customers’ needs and exceed their expectations. She’s passionate about helping every California Closets customer reimagine their living spaces and design solutions that truly enhance their lives. Cheryl’s varied professional background includes engineering, product research, product strategy development, and business portfolio management. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University.

In 2009, Rob joined the California Closets team as the Regional Vice President for the eastern region

In 2009, Rob joined the California Closets team as the Regional Vice President for the eastern region. After owning his own home service franchise in the 1990s, he developed a passion for both home improvement and leadership that inspire him in his current role. Rob works with various California Closets locations in creating annual financial plans, analyzing results, and sharing best practices in order to maximize customer satisfaction. In addition to his entrepreneurial experience, his background includes more than 13 years of working for two of our sister brands, Floor Coverings International and College Pro. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Lisa Lennard

Vice President of Office of Program Management

Lisa has been a part of the California Closets Company since 1998.

Lisa Lennard began her California Closets career in 1998 as a design consultant for the Orange County, CA franchise before joining the corporate team in 2002. During her tenure with the corporate office, Lisa initiated the company’s first eLearning center, as well as created closet designs for advertisements and marketing materials. As Vice President of Operational Technology, she also facilitated the development of business management software applications for the franchise system, all of which are still actively used today. Prior to her current role, she served as the General Manager of the Santa Barbara & Central Coast franchise, stewarding the company’s transition to a new, consolidated manufacturing business model.

Vanessa oversees all of California Closets’ legal matters

Vanessa oversees all of California Closets’ legal matters, advising the company’s executive team on issues like intellectual property, regulatory compliance, and social responsibility. She joined the company in 2010 after working with public and private sector science and technology clients on research and business matters. Vanessa holds a JD from Golden Gate University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Berkeley—both with distinction. She is admitted to practice law in California.
