California Closets Sustainable Design
Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design
California Closets Walnut Creek, Roseville and Fresno is proud to share two of our most exciting and innovative projects, the 2009 Margarido House in the Oakland Hills, and the Hillside Home in Marin.
These projects were intended to serve as models for sustainability -- every detail from top to bottom is designed to maximize space and meet nationally-recognized green building standards from the LEED for Homes Rating System.
The Margarido House is also Greenpoint Rated for resource conservation, indoor air quality, water conservation, community, and energy efficiency.
Our very own Bob Holcomb, Mario Umana, and Rich Cook worked closely with McDonald Construction Co. to design custom closets, a garage, a media center, a playroom for these projects. The Installation team, coordinated by Rich Cook, included Miguel Iraheta, Felix Leon, Sean Finkelstein, Ash Aydinyan, and Jeremias Recinos.
All materials used in our systems qualified for LEED points and were designed to maximize the space in the home and exemplify sustainable design.
