Everyone has a story! One of the greatest parts of being a design consultant for California Closets is uncovering each client's unique story and how it pertains to what they are trying to accomplish. I believe each person has their own particular way of organizing and that there are sometimes amazing stories behind why they do what they do.
From a very young age my chores included organizing the linen closet, the pantry, the kitchen cabinets, my brother's nightmare of a room and closet and well you get the picture now. So imagine to my surprise graduating with a degree in Interior Design and then finding a company which embodied the very essence of what I was searching for in a career! I think it's very rare today to find people who actually LOVE what they do and I consider myself to be one of the lucky few. I am here to simplify my clients' daily lives and who doesn't need that?
I LOVE my work as a California Closets designer. And that's a good thing since I've been doing this for 16 years! My work is much like doing puzzles: the obvious part is working with the space and the "things" that go into that space, but the fun part is getting to know my clients, how they live in their space and what is important to them; the way it should look and feel when they enter it. Turning what may seem like chaos to my client, into a serene and beautiful space, makes my job interesting, challenging and fun.
When I was a child and was sent to my room I spent endless hours rearranging furniture and organizing my closet. I never imagined that my retribution would turn into a lifelong passion.I have spent over 7 years in the spatial and interior design arena, so a career with California Closets seemed to be a natural progression. What can I say, I love my job! As a seasoned Design Consultant I am able to utilize my creativity and attention to detail to design beautiful and functional spaces.
Even as a young child I paid extreme attention to detail and organization, maximizing every inch of my room, including using the area below my bed for extra storage! After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Texas, accepting a position as a Design Consultant with California Closets seemed to be a natural progression into the world of design, organization, and creativity. As a Design Consultant for California Closets, I am able to customize each of my projects that best suites the individual tastes of every client.
Organization is my passion. Even as a child, you could find me in my room rearranging and reorganizing my furniture and belongings. In 2001, I was able to fulfill my dream of putting my passion to work. It is truly an honor to be part of the California Closets team as we are all dedicated to meeting your needs and exceeding your expectations. An expert in space planning and project management, my 11 years with California Closets ensures that you will have the absolute best experience.
Whether I am traveling, playing music with friends or helping someone navigate toward a beautiful and functional space, I am always thinking of my physical surroundings. The way we interact with our physical space has an often overlooked impact on our lives. As a California Closets Design Consultant, I have the rewarding opportunity to help people shape their environments.
My specialty is listening to my clients. Understanding your needs so I can design spaces that are functional and elegant is something I pride myself on. Being a wife and mother of four children, I know homes can quickly become a place of stress and disorganization. Providing a custom solution that eliminates the chaos is my goal.
With a professional background spanning over two decades in the luxury lifestyle industry, moving into the home storage design industry was a natural progression in Carly’s lifestyle development. Carly has been working in people’s closets specializing in Closet Audits as a Personal Wardrobe Stylist, helping men and women with wardrobe selection, organization, and design.
Designing has always been who I am rather than what I do. After attending architecture school, I realized that I was more passionate about designing the things that go into a home and having them reflect and meet the needs of the homeowner. As an industrial designer, I became experienced in how functionality is the most important component in creating a perfect design.
