California Closets - Serving Longueuil For Over 20 Years

We are proud to have served your city since November of 1989. In these decades of operation, we've provided everything from products and accessories to help them get re-organized to full installations of personalized bedroom closets, home offices, garage systems, and kids room storage -- among others!

The First Showroom

Did you know? California Closets was one of the first to open a retail showroom, in the summer of 1994. Our showroom is a must-stop for both retail clientele and interior designers looking into the latest trends in closet organizing.

Our Story

Calfornia Closets Montreal is owned by the dynamic duo, Mitchell and Lianne Deckelbaum. Mitchell was born in Montreal and grew up in Florida, moved back to Montreal when he met Lianne. When the store first opened, Lianne had just given birth to her first daughter, and she would be in the store every day with the newborn as she advised clients with their organisational challenges!

Their three children -- who literally grew up "in the closet" -- are now adults and striking out on their own. But the first three people Mitch and Lianne hired are still working with them! And despite his many responsibilities of running a constantly growing business, Mitch still insists on going to design appointments. That's the kind of care and pride that California Closets stands for...

Experienced in a Broad Scope of Projects

Because of Montreal’s vast cultural diversity, we are often called to work on projects that are as varied as its inhabitants. We go from building closets in the tiniest spaces of old traditional homes to large warehouse lofts; we pride ourselves in moving easily between conservative taste and contemporary projects.

Everything we do is thus truly custom made. Whether working in traditional woods with detailed mouldings to working in green products with clean lines, we customize our units to match the aesthetic tastes of each individual customer.

Another one of our unique attributes is that we do everything from beginning to end. We do not subcontract any work! This allows us to guarantee the quality of our products for life. We design, build, and install each unit in house. The great majority of our products and our materials are sourced locally."

California Closets, Supporting Local Charities

We are involved in numerous activities and charities in the community, working with Habitat for Humanity, as well as local endeavours geared towards women shelters and children associations.

For the past four years, we have been a part of the CHEO dream home lottery. We have also worked with Bruce House (an AIDS hospice), and continue to support many local fundraising events.
