The average length of employment for our staff is approaching ten years. We think that speaks volumes about our people and the respect and admiration we have for one another. As our business grows and we add team members, each applicant is introduced to our company philosophy. It is essential to hire good people who understand the values that are important to us.
Design Consultants play a key role on your project. Their design experience in combination with a thorough knowledge of available materials, finishes, and accessories enable them to create exceptionally efficient storage solutions that fit naturally in your home. Behind the scenes, our carpenters and fabrication specialists transform concept into reality, building your custom solution in our local facility. We never outsource the construction of our materials. No two systems are alike and having our own local facility enables us to personally shepherd your materials in the most efficient manner possible. Your storage solution is installed by our own expert installers who do whatever it takes to make the process go smoothly.
All of us keep abreast of the latest industry developments and we maintain a rigorous continuing education program with re-certification taking place twice a year. The team works well as a group, with constant communication throughout all levels of the company as your solution is brought from concept to installation.
It is this combination of commitment and talent that results in an exceptional overall customer experience. It is also the reason why so many of our customers are ready to start their next storage solution project with us as soon as the first one is completed.
We invite you to visit our showroom and begin to dream about creating your ideal spaces.
Meet our team...
Born and raised on Long Island, I began my career by earning a degree of Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from New York Institute of Technology, School of Architecture & Design. One of my first jobs was as a designer in a kitchen and bath showroom. Pursing design in a more technical manner I wound up working with a firm that refurbished private jets. After that, I honed my skills as a custom furniture designer as well as designing for residential and commercial projects for a custom millwork shops, which ultimately led to working with a construction-design company on projects from Montauk to Manhattan in both a creative and technical role.
I’m originally from California, but I love New York.I have a degree in the history of art and architecture which helps me to understand and work with the stylistic differences apparent in every home. I learned the art of organizational design on the west coast and I have several years of experience creating unique solutions for my clients’ storage needs that are both functional and pleasing to the eye. I moved to Long Island so that I could combine my west coast point of view together with the east coast perspective and become a more well-rounded individual and designer.
With a natural knack for design and a great eye for symmetry, color, and aesthetics, a career as a design consultant for California Closets seemed to be the best combination of both my previous job paths and my creative abilities.Essential to the California Closets design process is building a trusting relationship and for me this is the best part of the job.Meeting new people every day and creating spaces for them that help to solve their organizational issues brings a new and different experience every day!
