The average length of employment for our staff is approaching ten years. We think that speaks volumes about our people and the respect and admiration we have for one another. As our business grows and we add team members, each applicant is introduced to our company philosophy. It is essential to hire good people who understand the values that are important to us.
Design Consultants play a key role on your project. Their design experience in combination with a thorough knowledge of available materials, finishes, and accessories enable them to create exceptionally efficient storage solutions that fit naturally in your home. Behind the scenes, our carpenters and fabrication specialists transform concept into reality, building your custom solution in our local facility. We never outsource the construction of our materials. No two systems are alike and having our own local facility enables us to personally shepherd your materials in the most efficient manner possible. Your storage solution is installed by our own expert installers who do whatever it takes to make the process go smoothly.
All of us keep abreast of the latest industry developments and we maintain a rigorous continuing education program with re-certification taking place twice a year. The team works well as a group, with constant communication throughout all levels of the company as your solution is brought from concept to installation.
It is this combination of commitment and talent that results in an exceptional overall customer experience. It is also the reason why so many of our customers are ready to start their next storage solution project with us as soon as the first one is completed.
We invite you to visit our showroom and begin to dream about creating your ideal spaces.
Meet our team...
Born and raised on Long Island, I began my career by earning a degree of Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from New York Institute of Technology, School of Architecture & Design. One of my first jobs was as a designer in a kitchen and bath showroom. Pursing design in a more technical manner I wound up working with a firm that refurbished private jets. After that, I honed my skills as a custom furniture designer as well as designing for residential and commercial projects for a custom millwork shops, which ultimately led to working with a construction-design company on projects from Montauk to Manhattan in both a creative and technical role.
With a natural knack for design and a great eye for symmetry, color, and aesthetics, a career as a design consultant for California Closets seemed to be the best combination of both my previous job paths and my creative abilities.Essential to the California Closets design process is building a trusting relationship and for me this is the best part of the job.Meeting new people every day and creating spaces for them that help to solve their organizational issues brings a new and different experience every day!
As one of California Closets senior designers since 1996, my career in home design has taken me down the paths of nearly every facet in home design and storage. From finished basements and up-scaled garages to full home designs where nearly every room in a home was touched by the creative ideas California Closets has afforded me.
If I could choose a sentence to describe my role as a design consultant it would be: "It cannot be beautiful if it's not functional". My goal as a designer for California Closets is to exceed your expectations. We don't sell closets, we help you buy space solutions.
Design is not only defined by a look or feel, design is defined by how a space works. Being a design consultant, functionality is always the top priority in every project. Without function, a beautiful and fulfilled design cannot be accomplished. By creating a unique connection with every client I work with, this concept comes to life through a collaboration of all parties.
Designing and organizing come hand in hand when we start our journey together. Having a background in design helps me to create, with you, beautiful custom furniture using all of the elements and principles of design to maximize your space.
Born and raised in sunny California, I went to college to study Architectural Engineering and Interior Design. After graduating from college, I married my handsome husband, had 2 kids, and started designing jewelry. I eventually started my own jewelry line which was featured in various publications such as Bella Magazine & People Stylewatch, and was worn by Jessica Alba & Courtney Kardashian.
