From Boring Bedroom to Beautiful Boudoir

Is your closet too small to share with your other half? Are your shoes all over the floor and there just isn't enough room to get dressed in the morning?

Why not convert that unused bedroom you've been neglecting into a beautiful "boudoir"?

I recently worked with a customer who wanted a pretty space to store her treasured clothes and shoes, a comfortable setting for getting dressed, and a spacious layout where she had enough room to stand back and see what she had.

We worked together to create this feminine, dreamy space that is not only a functional closet, but a lovely room to spend time in - not to mention the envy of everyone who sees it!

Notice the beautiful wallpaper used to back the closet, the raised panel detail on the drawers, the "shoe closet" and the rich gold tones of the marble countertops.

The wallpaper and chandelier in this walk-in closet create the feminine "boudoir" feeling. They're lovely accents to a functional design that includes several sections of hanging space and an island for folding and dressing.

The windows make this custom closet feel more like a dressing room, and we took advantage of space beneath the window for additional counterspace and custom storage.

A closet within a closet! Perfect shoe storage for different sizes and styles, from casual flats to dressy pumps.

What do you think? Do you have an unused space - like an extra bedroom - that you could convert into your own beautiful boudoir?
